This is our third year in a row of getting our Santa photos shot out at Murphy’s Tree Farm in Maple Ridge. While it’s only a 35-minute drive from our house, this year we were gifted an intense rain storm that brought traffic to a crawl for half of our drive. We pulled in with about 30 seconds to spare and sore hands from the white-knuckled stunt driving required to make it on time for the very strictly regulated check-in time. With no exceptions for late arrivals, and the need to stick to the tight schedule is no surprise to us. But the rain/sleet that came out of nowhere certainly was.

This year the photographer only shot photos of the kids with Santa, and not any of the more relaxed, off-the-cuff photos of the kids like the great photos we got last year. On the bright side, we did get photos of all four of us together with the big guy, so that’s all we can ask for.
We’re lucky that Santa remembers Addison and Colin and some of their quirky requests over the year, so that makes it very special for them. And a reminder for us that we have very special children that ask for ham sandwiches and hot dogs for Christmas.

If you’d like to download larger/printable versions of the two Santa images, here’s a link to all of them on Dropbox.
