Burnaby Central Railway, Spring 2018

We were looking for something to do on our day off on Easter Friday and found out it was the opening day for the Burnaby Central Railway. The weather was pretty good although a bit cool at times but sure was nice when the sun would poke out for extended periods.

We got to go for an extra long ride because they were having a few opening day wrinkles and had to redirect us so they could fix a bit of the track—there were no complaints from anyone and it was nice to see just how far back this miniature railway goes.

We got to ride on the orange train!

We sat at the very back with a nice older gentleman running the caboose, and he gave us all kinds of inside scoops and history about the place which was really interesting, so we took Colin and Addison’s photo with the nice man.

Here’s a 2-1/2 minute long video of our day on the mini trains.
