We had the kids 3rd birthday party a week ahead of their actual birthday since it lands on the long weekend, and we knew a few of the kids from their daycare weren’t going to be around. We rented the cabana at our complex, which over by the pool, and this worked out so much better than trying to host all those kids and parents at our place.
In the end, most of the kids from their daycare were able to make it out, and the weather was amazing. It might have actually been a little too hot. Katie decorated the cake with some candy rocks, pretzels and marshmallows to pull off the camping themed cake… We won’t even mention how it almost slid off the tray when Chris delivered it to the cabana… I think it was the heat that made it greasy—but it did show up in one piece.
